[torqueusers] Drain system for some users

Hi,

I was wondering if any of you sometimes drain the system for some users.
So other logins still can submit, but those selected logins cannot.

What is the best way to achieve this?

Jaap,

We used "set queue batch acl_users” in torque (via qmgr) to allow certain
groups or users to submit jobs to a particular queue. I am not aware of a
setting that can disallow a user.

We also used USERCFG[username] Hold=True in Moab to put a hold on jobs. In
this case user is allowed to submit via qsub but jobs will go to Batch
hold.
