Hello,
recently we connect a GPFS fast pool to a certain subset of compute nodes. The idea is very simple and it is just to equip some nodes by fast and shared I/O. The problem is that it is not clear for us how to properly define such shared cluster resource only for certain subset of nodes. Indeed, if we take an example from official documentation on shared cluster resource:
http://docs.adaptivecomputing.com/mwm/7-2-8/Content/topics/nodeAdministration/generalresources.html?
NODECFG[GLOBAL] FS=FASTSCRATCH:***@1000
then it becomes automatically assigned to each compute node, right? How we can assign a shared cluster resource only for certain subset of nodes rather than to all nodes via GLOBAL virtual node? Do we need to play around with partitions?
Any help would be really appreciated!
With best regards,
Victor
